Images from our Book themed Flower and Brick Festival 2026

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our patron St James alongside the Big Barlborough Festival which took place across the village. Our Book-themed Flower and Brick Festival was very popular, not least the offer to try bell ringing this year which pulled in some new people. Even the MP, Natalie Fleet came to have a go! Here are some photos of the spectacular displays. Many thanks to all who contributed, we raised £575 for church funds.

Big Barlborough Festival 11th-12th July 2026

Barlborough Parish Council, Heritage Centre, the National Garden Scheme and local churches have collaborated to create the third of its kind Big Barlborough Festival taking place from 11th to 12th July 2026 in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Barlborough. Highlights from the first ever Clowne Youth Music Festival

What an amazing day we had on 27th June 2026. What began as an idea of the Rector’s earlier this year morphed into a fantastic day celebrating the talented young people of Clowne. New course on Pilgrimage starts this Summer Tues 30th June, 7.30pm Clowne Parish Church

For our next small group course we will be exploring pilgrimage by looking at the lives of the Anglo Saxon Saints and how we are pilgrims today.
