Hello from the Rector
Dear friends,
This Sunday we have our service of Choral Evensong at 5pm at Barlborough – if you don’t normally come, why not give it a try? It is a unique English tradition and we are one of the only churches in the area that has a regular full sung service with our fabulous choir.
We also have Morning Prayer at 8.30am at Barlborough and our 10am Sung Eucharist at Clowne.

Confirmation course and service
We are now going to join with the deanery for our confirmation service this autumn instead of this summer – it wasn’t possible to align diaries for August. The confirmation service will take place at St John’s Newbold on Sunday 22nd November at 6pm. A confirmation course will take place at Clowne church in the autumn for anyone interested in being confirmed or in taking a basic Christianity course. Please speak to Rev Bryony for more information.

Joining the Parish Giving Scheme
A regular gift really helps our cash flow, prevents the need for us to count cash and go to the bank and the scheme automatically claims Gift Aid. Once you set it up you can relax and not worry about bringing cash to church.
