Flower Festival 2019 – Our Favourite TV
This year’s Flower Festival is on the theme of TV we have known and loved. We are open from 10am-5pm from 27th – 30th July. Refreshments and raffle available. Vote for your favourite hymn for our Songs of Praise service on Tuesday 30th July at 6pm.
Clowne Mining Festival
A family fun day celebrating our mining heritage. Come and view our exhibition of mining (put on by Clowne History Society), see our new Mining Mosaic and restored Miners Chapel. Stalls selling local produce, raffle, refreshments, brass band.
Coffee Morning at Barlborough Parish Church
Come and visit our beautiful church – cakes, refreshments, raffle, tombola and more! Bring all the family!
Easter Day Services
Join us for our big Easter Festival Eucharists: 9.15am St John the Baptist, Clowne 11.00am St James, Barlborough – we will also be baptising baby Freddy Turrell in this service!
Holy Saturday – Easter Vigil Service
Join us for the first service of Easter as we light the new paschal candle from the Easter Fire and greet the Risen Christ.
Good Friday – Meditation at the Foot of the Cross
Join us for a quiet contemplative service meditating at the foot of the cross on Good Friday.
Good Friday – Stations of the Cross
We have some beautiful new stations of the cross which will be used for the first time in this special service on Good Friday, we hope you can join us.
Maundy Thursday – Sung Eucharist followed by the Watch and Compline
Maundy Thursday Eucharist, Watch and Compline – Journey of the senses: TOUCH Join us for a eucharist service with music meditating on our sense of touch on our journey of the senses in Holy Week. Following this will be optional silent prayer (the Watch) in the Miners Chapel, concluding with Compline at 10pm.

Holy Week Journey of the Senses – TASTE Join us for a quiet eucharist service meditating on our sense of taste on our journey of the senses in Holy Week. During this service our new Stations of the Cross will be dedicated in memory of Gerald Pears.
