If you have particular access needs, please don’t hesitate to contact the Rector, Rev’d Bryony to explain your needs and we will do our best to accommodate you.
At St James Barlborough there are three steps up to get into the main door of the church. We have a ramp that can be put down to enable wheelchair access. We also have a folded wheelchair available on site – just ask a welcomer at the door if you need this. We have a disabled toilet inside the building.
We have a loop system for hearing aids.
If you require a gluten free wafer during communion, please let a welcomer know and we will happily provide one.
There is a designated disabled parking space (for blue badge holders) as near as possible to the church – by the notice board. This is roughly 25 metres away from the main entrance of the church up the path.
At St John the Baptist Clowne there is wheelchair access into the church (no steps). Our pews go right to the walls from the aisle and are quite narrow so a wheelchair user will need to sit in the aisle if wanting/needing to remain in their chair in a service. We have a sit down area in the left hand chapel where tea and coffee is served and there is plenty of space for wheelchairs there. We have a toilet outside – it is accessible by wheelchair.
We have a loop system for hearing aids.
If you require a gluten free wafer during communion, please let a welcomer know and we will happily provide one.
There is on road parking available outside the church – the path from the lych gate to the entrance to the church is approximately 10 metres long.
