Hello from the Rector

Dear friends,

Hope you’ve all survived the snow which came and went! We are gathering this Sunday at 8.30am for Morning Prayer in Barlborough and at 10am for our Eucharist at Clowne exploring the theme of ‘Come and See’ as the Epiphany season continues. You will see that our Christmas decorations are still up in church – we will be keeping them up until the end of the season at Candlemas (which we will be celebrating on 1st February). At Candlemas – when we remember the presentation of Jesus in the temple – we turn from the crib towards the cross in the church calendar.

I’m glad we keep the decorations up through January, the light continues to shine in the darkness!

I’ve created a calendar of events for the whole year and copies will be available to pick up at church on Sunday.
