Hello from the Rector

Dear friends,

Happy New Year everyone!

For our first study group of the year we are going to be exploring what our spiritual preferences are. How do you most easily connect with God? We’ll be using material from a book called Sacred Pathways and doing a questionnaire to find out what makes us tick spiritually. This will give us a bit of a road map for growing close to God in 2026.
This is a one off session so everyone is welcome whether you’ve been before or not. Tuesday 13th January at 7.30pm at Clowne. Hope you can come!

I’ve created a calendar of events for the whole year and copies will be available to pick up at church on Sunday.

This Sunday we continue in the Epiphany season and celebrate the Baptism of Christ and we will be renewing our baptism vows in the service at 10am at Barlborough. Morning Prayer will be on as usual at Clowne at 8.30am.

See you there!

Every blessing,

Rev Bryony

Here’s how you can help by joining the Parish Giving Scheme and giving by Direct Debit.

A regular gift really helps our cash flow, prevents the need for us to count cash and go to the bank and the scheme automatically claims Gift Aid.

It gives all of us peace of mind – you’re not worrying about your envelopes with your cash gift piling up and we’re not worrying about loss of income – it’s a win win!
