Hello from the Rector

Dear friends,

Thank you to all those who supported the Heritage Open Day last weekend, not only was it a good opportunity to engage with the community but it also raised £200 for church funds.

Harvest Festival
Our Harvest Festival services will take place on 5th October at Clowne and 12th October at Barlborough. Please bring non-perishable items for the foodbank and a donation for the Bishop’s Harvest Appeal which aims to raise £20,000 for an environmental sustainability and community peacebuilding project in Bujumbura, Burundi. On Saturday 4th October we will be decorating Clowne church for Harvest Festival and all are welcome to come and help from 10am-4pm. You might have some apples, hops, pumpkins etc you could bring to help us with the decorating.

Here’s how you can help by joining the Parish Giving Scheme and giving by Direct Debit.

A regular gift really helps our cash flow, prevents the need for us to count cash and go to the bank and the scheme automatically claims Gift Aid.

It gives all of us peace of mind – you’re not worrying about your envelopes with your cash gift piling up and we’re not worrying about loss of income – it’s a win win!

Thank you for your help. Click here for more details:
