Help us to create Clowne Mining Mosaic – come to a workshop

As you know, we have been successful in our bid to Tesco Bags of Help to create our mosaic for the Miners Chapel at St John the Baptist, Clowne.

We are working with artist Coralie Turpin and Junction Arts to create a mosaic to go on the front of the altar in our restored Miners Chapel for future generations to enjoy and celebrate our mining heritage.

We are running a series of workshops at church to create the mosaic, all are welcome to attend. This page will be updated with details of sessions. Please ring the Rector, Bryony Taylor on 01246 813569 or email her to let you know you intend to come.

Wednesday 24th April 1.30pm St John the Baptist, Clowne

MOSAIC WORKSHOP—  This is the first session to begin work on our mining mosaic—we will be putting on further sessions at other times to enable as many people as possible to take part. No particular artistic ability required—full training will be provided, you may like to help cut tiles, sort them or place them into the design.
